HWSNBN (He who shall not be named, 2017/2020)
Love is a peculiar thing. It often hits you when you least expect it, making you its prisoner, whether you like it or not, you better hope that what you love loves you back.
I never liked the way it crept up on me, so unannounced, yet so vibrant.
The object of my love, this time will not be named. Not only would it be unnecessary, but it also honors the element of mystery love carries.. what was I ever in love with?
I couldn’t tell you today, but that’s always how it starts. Subtle, and if you’re lucky, you might even hate them at first.
He came off rude to me the 1st time we met. He made a comment about my attire for the day, apparently my shorts were (too short?) and my titties were out.
We were still strangers, but he was bold enough to make such a comment, which caught my attention.
I don’t remember how that first comment turned into a full conversation, then longer conversations, and then more.
I do remember the next thing he asked that sent me for another loop, he asked, “Who are you?”
And not as if he was giving me a compliment, but as if he was challenging me to ponder the question deeply to find the answer.
Right then and there, I was hooked.
But this is my advice, to both the younger me and to girls that fall for mysteries.
The ecstasy of being rendered speechless is not worth it. It’ll never be. Let it happen, but don’t linger or stay in that place.
One day, you’ll want to be set free. But your freedom will no longer be up to you. Just up to them.
One day, you’ll want your heart back, and it’ll long be consumed, digested, and returned to the Earth as waste.
But let me not speak too soon.
Let me finish the story, and let you decide.
